Overview

This document describes how to add a new page onto the web site

You will also need to refer to the following document:- 100 - Editing an existing web page

This guide assumes you have logged into the administration panel at

United-Services.webyell.co.uk/administrator

Details

The majority of the web pages are in actual fact articles. From this point on I will refer to them as articles

Open up the article manager, click Content->Article Manager

New web page - select article manager

Click - New

New web page - opening up a new article

Click the new article button. Green circle with white cross. You now have a blank article. To fill out the remainder of the details you should refer to

Saving and making live

Once the article has been created

At the top of the screen click Save. This saves and closes the article. This will store the article but it must now be added to a menu before it becomes live

Adding a web page to a menu

New menu item - open main menu list

Select Menus->Main Menu

The list shown will reflect the menu across the top of the web page

Add menu item - new menu item

Click New to add a new item to the menu

New Menu item – article layout

Add new web page - type article

Select article layout

New Menu item – properties

Add article to menu - menu item properties

At the top of the screen click Save. This saves and closes the menu item. This item is now live on the web site

You should check the live web page yourself to ensure that the menu item has been created and that you are completely happy with the result.
